• Between 2010-11, co-developed and launched Oceans Five, a global Funder’s Collaborative with the shared goal of improving conservation of the world’s five oceans.

• The Collaborative, a mix of experienced and new philanthropists, leverages its collective assets to support results-oriented projects and campaigns aimed at constraining overfishing and establishing significant marine reserves.

• Oceans Five manages a portfolio of projects vetted at the highest levels (with the most exceptional level of oversight and reporting) to ensure members clear and measurable social returns within a 2 to 4 year timeframe..

• Founding Board members include Kristian Parker of Oak Foundation, Addison Fischer/Cindy Mercer of Planet Heritage Foundation, Ted Waitt of the Waitt Foundation, Herbert Bedolfe of the Marisla Foundation, and Tracey Durning of 49 prince street.
